Your Kerbside Waste and Recycling Services

Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC/Council) currently provides a domestic and commercial waste service to customers in the Gilgandra urban area, Tooraweenah and Armatree villages through a contract arrangement with JR Richards & Sons Pty Ltd. The Annual Waste Charges cover provision of these services, as adopted in the Gilgandra Region Delivery Program & Operational Plan.

Please note, from 1 July 2025:

• Only waste bins will be collected on waste collection days, and only recycling bins will be collected on recycling days.
• Additional bins not included in the above services will not be picked up by the contractor. Should local residents or commercial properties want to have extra bins, the options are available
  
  For commercial premises:
  1. Help Us Help you by contacting Carlginda Enterprises if you have excess recycling - they want your clean recyclables! Contact Carlginda at 6817 8866
     • Organise alternative services with a commercial waste contractor
     • Contact Council to arrange for collection of additional bins, in accordance with the Gilgandra Region Delivery Program & Operational Plan. Please note, collection costs only, residents/businesses to purchase their own bins at local hardware stores
       
       • Waste bin – dark green bin/dark green lid
       • Recycling bin – dark green body/yellow lid
  2. Take excess waste and/or recycling to Waste Facility, their fees and charges available here.

    For residential premises:

1. Take excess waste and/or recycling to Waste Facility, their fees and charges available at https://www.gilgandra.nsw.gov.au/Live/Recycling-Waste/Waste-Facility-Fees-and-Charges.
2. Contact Council to arrange for additional bins, in accordance with the Gilgandra Region Delivery Program & Operational Plan. Please note, collection costs only, residents/businesses to purchase their own bins at local hardware stores
