'Dust to Dusk' Drought Relief Concert

Published on 17 November 2018

Thanks to the Gilgandra Show Society, Gilgandra has a serious party going on Saturday, 17 November and it’s FREE!

Gilgandra Show Society, Country Rocks and Gilgandra Shire Council are proud to announce Dust to Dusk. A family friendly, free concert featuring Tania Kernaghan, Brothers3, Ben Ransom and Kora Naughton, this is one you won’t want to miss!

Get ready to kick up your boots (don’t worry about shining them!) and come along for a great time with fireworks, jumping castle, pony rides and oversized slides for the kids plus bar and food facilities available!

To be held at the Gilgandra Showground, gates open at 5pm!

Acting Mayor Cr Ash Walker says,

“It’s exciting for our community to be able to rally together to put on such an event, especially in such critical drought times as these.”

“We are grateful that the Gilgandra Show Society are volunteering their time and efforts in pulling together such an event.”

Adding,

“Thanks to the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme, the Gilgandra Show Society have been able to bring an event to the community now, when so many in our community would be tied up with harvest. It is an excellent way to support our community and reap the social benefits too”

“With lots happening throughout the evening, we hope to see as many people coming down to join in”, says Ash.

This event is being put together with the help of a number of local volunteers, if you would like to be involved in the day as a volunteer, a stall holder or otherwise, please contact us!
