Help Us Help You > Never Bin Your Batteries

On Display Indefinitely

Household batteries, including rechargeable ones, can cause fires at the Gilgandra Waste Facility and leak harmful chemicals – but they can be recycled!

You can drop your household batteries, along with other household problem wastes like paint, smoke detectors, fluoro tubes and gas cylinders to the Community Recycling Centre at the Gilgandra Waste Facility for FREE.

Find out more about our kerbside waste services (including number of bins), recycling tips, collection calendars and additional waste bin options by contacting Council on 6817 8800, or by visiting Council’s website: www.gilgandra.nsw.gov.au/Live/Recycling-Waste.

Remember: Extra bins not covered in the provided services will not be picked up
