Electronic lodgment of planning applications from 1 July

If you are building a new home, undertaking renovations, starting a new business or building a shed, there are changes coming to the way you lodge your plans with Council.

Development Applications and Construction Certificates will need to be lodged through the State Government e-planning portal from Thursday, 1 July as a result of legislative changes to the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulations 2000.  

The portal can be accessed through https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/onlineDA from your home computer, with public computers also available at the Gilgandra Library and Service NSW. You will need to register with the portal and login with your details prior to lodging your plans.

Department of Planning has produced a number of resources to assist users accessing the portal available at https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/support-training/applicant-resources The applicant guides provide step-by-step information including screen shots on how to access the portal, start a new application, and upload your information.
