Council has resolved to continue the alcohol-free zone over the township of Gilgandra, for a further four years - effective from Thursday, 17 July 2025 to Monday, 16 July 2029. This alcohol-free zone includes all streets, lanes and park in Gilgandra, the IGA car park, Gilgandra Community Plaza, the GIL Library Hub plaza and the Windmill Walk area immediately under the Jack Renshaw Bridge.
Council is seeking public feedback on the proposed re-establishment of the alcohol-free zone. Your feedback may be submitted via email, to council@gilgandra.nsw.gov.au, or by phone on (02) 6817 8800.
Closing date for community feedback is 9:00am on Monday, 30 June 2025.
