It’s On! Under The Gums!

Gilgandra is set to light up as we welcome locals and visitors to enjoy a night Under the Gums, like it hasn’t been seen before!

In its third year, we’re going bigger and a little further upstream to the newly upgraded Gilgandra Cultural Precinct (GCP). Join us as we bring the region a night of live music, street food, brews, and dance the night away on the banks of the Castlereagh.

Council, in collaboration with the Economic Development Committee, in consideration of funding opportunities and other regional events, has set a new date to host Under the Gums in September 2023.

Council has been successful in grant funding through the Stronger Country Communities Fund and Communities Event Fund for Under the Gums 2023 and 2024. With funding secured, the event planners will be looking, over the two years, at ways to ensure the event continues to grow into the future.

In past years we’ve had over 2,000 revelers attending. The move to the GCP will allow for increased crowd numbers as we continue to grow into a flagship event that attracts visitors to the region from across NSW and beyond!

We’re now calling out for those who love all things live music, street food, brews, and bringing people to our region to be part of the Under the Gums Crew!

With plans to attract the Real Country seekers from back roads to beach tracks!
