Kerbside pick-up for general waste for Gilgandra residents occurs every Wednesday. Please have your bin placed on the kerb before 6am.

Recycling for residents in Gilgandra occurs on a fortnightly basis. Council have three different recycling routes, which are picked up on different days. You can request a copy of our recycling calendar and map by contacting Council.

Residential (Gilgandra and Tooraweenah and Armatree villages) are entitled to collection of one waste bin weekly and one recycling bin fortnightly, per pick up.

Please note, from 1 July 2025:

  • Only waste bins will be collected on waste collection days, and only recycling bins will be collected on recycling days.
  • Additional bins not included in the above services will not be picked up by the contractor. Should local residents or commercial properties want to have extra bins, the options are available

 For residental premises:

  1. Take excess waste and/or recycling to Waste Facility, their fees and charges available at https://www.gilgandra.nsw.gov.au/Live/Recycling-Waste/Waste-Facility-Fees-and-Charges.
  2. Contact Council to arrange for additional bins, in accordance withFees and Charges. Please note, collection costs only, residents/businesses to purchase their own bins at local hardware stores
