Help Us Help You - Understanding Your Waste Services

On Display Indefinitely

Current Service:
• Residential – entitled to collection of one waste and one recycling per pick up.
• Business – entitled to the number of bins paid for in their annual rate notice.
From 1 July 2025, additional bins not included in the above services will not be collected. Click for more information.

Local Road and Street Information: 24 June 2025

On Display Indefinitely

Shoulder maintenance will continue on Castlereagh Highway. Sealing works will continue on Tooraweenah-Mendooran Road. Local road maintenance will continue on Hillside Hall and Back Creek Roads, as well as on town lanes.

There will be a planned power outage scheduled for Saturday, 5 July 2025 to complete the remaining electrical upgrade works related to the industrial subdivision on Naden Drive.

Notice of Development Proposal DA2025/594

On Display Indefinitely

Notice is hereby given that a Development Application (DA) has been lodged with Gilgandra Shire Council through the NSW Planning Portal for a Telecommunications Tower, Council reference DA2025/594. The development incorporates the installation of one 45m monopole fitted with 9 panel antennas, upgrade of the existing exchange building and removal of existing small cell infrastructure.
