In recognition of the fact it is important to shop local all year round we are working with local businesses to promote just that.

Shop Local & #LocalLegends is an important part of Council’s Grow Gilgandra program and is a great way to recognise and celebrate the value of supporting local. The program continues to grow and adapt to suit changing needs and environmental challenges, with the Economic Development Committee reviewing the success of each year and addressing any challenges to deliver a strong program for the following year.

The Shop Local program includes the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day promotions, Christmas Shop Local and #LocalLegends promotion, showcasing local gift ideas to encourage spending throughout the year.

Business Christmas Display Competition

In celebration of the festive season and A Christmas Wonderland community event, local businesses are invited to decorate a ‘public area’ with Christmas themed decorations.
