Council Christmas Closure Details

Council wishes all residents a safe and happy Christmas. Office closure details are:

• The following Council offices and services will close at end of business Wednesday, 22 December 2021 and re-open on Tuesday, 4 January 2022
  • Council’s administration offices
  • Gilgandra Shire Library
  • Gilgandra Access Centre
  • Gilgandra Fitness Centre: Open to keyless entry members during Public Holidays
• Gilgandra Waste Facility will be closed on 25, 26, 27 and 28 December 2021 and 1 and 3 January 2022.

  All kerbside waste and recycling services remain unchanged over the Christmas period. Services will continue as usual.

• Gilgandra Youth Services will be closed Public Holidays. Holiday activities to start Tuesday, 4 January 2022
• Community Care is only closed weekends and public holidays, with no transport on these days. Meals On Wheels are delivered every day except Sundays.
• Gilgandra Housing and Homelessness Services closed on Public Holidays. Those seeking emergency accommodation and advice during closure please contact Link2Home 1800 152 152. For Public Housing matters please contact Dubbo Housing on 6885 7111.
• The GIL and Visitors Information Centre will be closed 25 and 26 December 2021 and 1 January 2022.
• Gilgandra Swimming Pool will be closed 25 and 26 December 2021.
