INLAND RAIL NARROMINE TO NARRABRI – EIS DROP-IN SUPPORT SESSIONS

Gilgandra Shire Council is reminding the community that the Narromine to Narrabri Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is currently on public display via the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) website until Sunday, 7 February 2021.

Over the course of the past 6 months, Council has requested that ARTC Inland Rail be available in the Community during the public exhibition period to assist the community and answer questions related to the EIS Submission.

ARTC Inland Rail will be hosting several EIS drop-in support sessions across the region and online between 12 January and 5 February 2021.

If you have any questions about the Narromine to Narrabri EIS, the submission process or require assistance navigating through the EIS documents, residents are encouraged to come along and speak to a member of the ARTC Inland Rail Stakeholder Engagement team.

EIS drop-in support session details are as follows:

Wednesday, 20 January 2021

Thursday, 28 January 2021

Additionally, you can log into one of the weekly online Q&A sessions about the EIS, on the following dates and times (AEST):

  • Wednesday, 20 January 2021, anytime between 3:00pm and 7:00pm
  • Thursday 28, January 2021, anytime between 3:00pm and 7:00pm
  • Wednesday, 3 February 2021, anytime between 3:00pm and 7:00pm

Gilgandra Shire Council is currently undertaking its own review of the EIS in order to develop a submission to the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE). The submission will be presented to Council for their adoption at a Meeting to be held on Tuesday, 2 February 2021 at 4pm
