CRAIG FOSTER: BIO
As a former Captain of the Socceroos, and of several Australian and European football clubs, Craig Foster wore the green and gold on 29 occasions alongside current players such as Mark Schwarzer, current Captain Mark Viduka, Craig Moore and Harry Kewell.

But it is perhaps his work as a football commentator and analyst on SBS for which Craig is most well known.

In particular, coverage of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany drew record ratings, and won numerous awards including an Australian Sports Commission Media Award and a Logie for the SBS Team.

Craig is also a prominent columnist on the world game for the Sun Herald, a former Chief Executive and Life Member of the Australian Professional Footballer’s Association, and Patron of the Refugee Youth Soccer Development Program in conjunction with UNSW, which assists young African refugees to intergrate into Australian society through their love of football.

Recently Craig was appointed the sole Australian on the global judging panel for the Ballon D’Or (Golden Ball), the World Footballer of the Year trophy awarded by the highly respected France Football magazine.
