Roads
Objective
- To provide and maintain access for all residents, except during periods of extreme weather conditions.
- To strategically maintain a ten year plan for all future improvements to Shire roads.
- To maintain RTA contractor classification to allow Council to secure contract work on State Highways.
Bridges
Objective
- To provide and maintain a network of safe and effective bridges, culverts and causeways.
- To strategically maintain a ten year plan for all future improvements to Shire bridges.
Aerodromes
Objective
- To maintain the Gilgandra and Tooraweenah aerodromes to ensure a safe and effective runway to meet appropriate safety standards.
- To ensure the standard of Gilgandra aerodrome meets air ambulance requirements.
- To continue to promote the use of the aerodrome by outside agencies, including the RAAF.
Footpaths
Objective
- To maintain a network of safe and effective pedestrian routes within all Village areas.
- To extend the paved footpath network within Gilgandra Village area in line with community needs and as resources permit.
