NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH FOR GILGANDRA SHIRE COUNCIL

For immediate release.

Fresh, simple and all the information you need about Council and our community in one place, welcome to Gilgandra Shire Council’s new website, launched on Tuesday, 17 April.

The new website, can be found at www.gilgandra.nsw.gov.au is a modern new look for Council’s online presence, reflecting the opportunities for economic growth for our Shire and Council’s focus on improving communication with the community.

General Manager, David Neeves says the website is more than a makeover.

“The new website is designed to appeal to the local community, businesses, visitors, and investors into our region.”

He adds,

“It’s a new way of sharing current news, events and gives residents, business owners and visitors quick and easy access to services and information they need to live, enjoy and grow Gilgandra Shire.”

From the simplicity of the home page, featuring local photographers, to the quick links to connect you more efficiently to the area you need, the website puts the user first.

Mr Neeves says,

“The launch of this new website is a culmination of a development process that also included a review of online content and functions. The website has expanded capabilities for users to submit feedback and connect with Council and will also provide emergency notices and road closure notices.”

He adds,

“The new site is simple to navigate and accessible between mobile devices, tablets and desktop. It provides a more intuitive and efficient experience with improved search functionality.”

Visit the ‘What’s on in our Shire’ page and view all scheduled works, events and venues coming up. If you are a community group, Council invite and encourage you to list your events and venues on our new website.

Gilgandra Shire Council’s website will be updated regularly with works and projects updates, news, Council meeting and minutes, economic growth opportunities, events and media releases.

Should you have any questions about the new website, feedback or to list your event or venue, please contact Council on 6817 8800, email council@gilgandra.nsw.gov.au or visit in person at Council’s main office on Warren Road.
