Join Australia Day Ambassador, Mrs Robyn Moore, as Gilgandra gears up to celebrate Australia Day!

On 26 January, Gilgandra will come together as a community to celebrate our national day. It promises to be a big celebration, with Australia Day Ambassador, Robyn Moore set to join our festivities!

As a Voice-Over Artist for the past 45 years, Robyn’s voice has been heard in our best known TV and radio commercials like “Spray 'n Wipe” and she created all female voices in Australia’s longest running radio comedy “How Green Was My Cactus”. This multi-award winning political satire has been on radio for 30 years.

Robyn has also enchanted children for 30 years in animated films and TV Series. She created voices in the Yoram Gross “Dot” Movies and is best known as the voice behind Yoram’s mischievous, iconic cartoon character…“Blinky Bill”.

Robyn is proud to be an Australia Day Ambassador and to visit Gilgandra and join in with our community celebrations.

Mayor Cr Doug Batten, is delighted that Robyn has taken the time to join Gilgandra for this celebration.

“Australia Day is such a special community day and an opportunity to showcase what’s great about Gilgandra. We all have different stories to share about this country and Australia Day is an opportunity to remember how fortunate we are to live together here in Australia. I know that Gilgandra will put on a memorable day and having Robyn here just makes it all the more special.”

Doug encourages all members of our community to participate in the many activities on offer.

Australia Day Ambassadors generously volunteer their time and share their Australian story at hundreds of community events on Australia Day. Our Ambassadors continue to inspire communities where they become a guest of honour and participate in activities as diverse as the communities themselves. We want the Gilgandra community to get involved this Australia Day:
