Gilgandra Rural Museum

An extensive and exciting range of agricultural plant and machinery is housed in the Museum. Items of interest include; Howard Rotary Hoe - invented in Gilgandra in 1920, Ridley Stripper, Ruston & Proctor Steam Traction Engine. Check out our website to see what else we have on show.

Entry is still only $5 and school aged children are FREE!

Other times by arrangement. 

Closed Christmas Day.

 

Where to find us

The Rural Museum is located on the Newell Highway (Dubbo Rd) on the Southern approach to the town of Gilgandra, right alongside the Visitors Information Centre. Light refreshments such as drinks and ice creams are available. There are toilets on site including a disabled access. Ask at the front office for directions to the disabled access and toilet.
