Drought Communities Programme - Community Applications
Applications are now open under the Drought Communities Programme.
Gilgandra has been allocated up to $1 million in the Drought Communities Programme to deliver benefits to drought affected communities. Applications are open until Friday, 28 February 2020 with all funding to be acquitted by 31 December 2020.
The intended outcomes of the Programme are to:
- increase employment in regions by providing work for locals and/or farmers and farm labourers/staff/contractors whose employment opportunities have been affected by drought
- improve levels of economic activity in regions
- increase productivity in regions
- enable better retention of businesses, services and facilities.
