Draft Community Participation Plan
Under the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act (EP&A Act), Councils are required to create a Community Participation Plan (CPP).
The objective of the CPP is to set out the processes for community engagement and feedback on the use of land, proposals for the sustainable development of land, and the social and economic wellbeing of community.
The CPP works alongside principles of Council’s Community Engagement Strategy (CES), but the Gilgandra Shire Council CPP is specific to development within the local government area.
At its meeting on 19 August 2019, Council considered and endorsed a Draft Community Participation Plan(PDF, 429KB) which is now on public exhibition for a period of 28 days to seek public input.
The Plan is available in electronic format and can be downloaded here(PDF, 429KB). Copies will also be available for viewing at the following locations:

- Council’s Administration Office, Warren Road, Gilgandra.
